Seasons and Service

Operations will depend on the location of the vessel and always weather conditions.
In the Southern Great Lakes region, the season will typically run from ice out in March and operate through December 1 of each year, depending on ice formation. Upper Great Lakes will vary from ice out in April and operate through November 15.

In Southern regions, during summer periods of extremely hot weather, charters will begin either before 4:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m. to avoid the intense heat, or at the discretion of the Captain and the charter party’s preference.

Our service consists of a customized charter. We provide non-alcoholic beverages, soda, water, and a light snack. Our charter lasts from 6 – 8 hours, calculated from dock to dock, depending on the charter parties’ preference and, of course, the weather. Charter days include Sunday through Saturday. We will take photographs and videotape your charter and provide digital copies to you free of charge.

All vessels will be operated/helmed by charter boat captain who are licensed by the U.S. Coast Guard and who volunteer their services for this charity. All SCUBA activities will be conducted under the direct supervision of SCUBA dive masters/instructors who are certified by PADI, NAUI, SSI, SEI or similar accredited organization, and who volunteer their services for this charity. We are now accepting offers from certified dive masters/instructors to provide their services for this charity. CO-CHARITY CHARTERS [LINK BELOW: DONOR

PROGRAM/CO-CHARTER SPONSOR PROGRAM]

We offer other 501(c)(3) designated charities the use of our vessels. We will take your organization out for a charity cruise that you have arranged to obtain financial donations for your organization.  In return we suggest a minimum contribution of $250.00 per person for a full day charter with a minimum of four passengers and maximum of ten passengers.  To help defray the operating costs of the cruise, we suggest a donation from the chartering organization to Kuebler’s Navy, Inc., in the amount of twenty percent [20%] of the sum donated with the remaining eighty percent [80%] being allocated to your charity.  This donation will help Kuebler’s Navy, Inc., defray operating costs and expenses [fuel costs, insurance, etc.], and help us raise funds to keep this operation going for your service as well.

For example, if an organization such as the Special Olympics wants to charter a trip to reward a group of special olympian, or sponsor a cruise to fundraise for the Special Olympics, or have a fishing tournament to raise funds, we offer the use of our vessels. Or, if the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts are interested in a charter to allow their members to operate a boat and learn navigation skills in order to earn a navigation merit badge, we offer the use of our vessels.

We also may establish annual planned events for other charitable purposes, such as a “CRUISE FOR THE CURE” in connection with fund raising funds breast and other cancer research.  This event will be scheduled for early October.  We may also establish a “CRUISE FOR TOTS” which will be the last charter of the year and will be conducted to raise funds for presents for holiday giving

If your charitable organization is interested in scheduling a charter and utilizing our services to raise funds for your charitable organization please give us a call [800-346-4497] or e-mail us at: schedule@kammo.org Please call us far enough in advance to arrange for the trip.

UNIVERSITY/GOVERNMENT

We also offer our vessels to the Power Squadron and Coast Guard Auxiliary to conduct navigation instruction, or engage in a patrol. We also offer our vessels to state Natural Resource Departments to conduct water and fish sampling activities.  Finally, if a University or school is interested in chartering a boat to conduct scientific research on navigable waters, we offer our vessels for this purpose.
